Sinds de aankondiging van de nieuwe inreismaatregelen zijn annuleringen naar verre bestemmingen, waaronder ook Bonaire, snel toegenomen. Om deze redenen heeft het management van WestJet besloten om WestJet-vluchten naar onder andere Bonaire uit te stellen tot het volgend seizoen, winter 2021.
WestJet en Tourism Corporation Bonaire hebben onlangs een overeenkomst getekend voor diensten tussen Bonaire en Toronto, Canada. Deze overeenkomst blijft van kracht en beide partijen zullen blijven werken aan de voorbereidingen voor het volgend seizoen.
