WILLEMSTAD – Er zijn te weinig politiemensen beschikbaar om naleving van de coronaregels af te dwingen op Curaçao. Volgens ochtendkrant Èxtra zijn te weinig politiemensen gevaccineerd. Zonder volledige vaccinatie mogen agenten niet op straat.
Bovendien houdt de Omicron-variant ook huis binnen het politiecorps, zodat er veel agenten in isolatie zitten. Ronny Cornelis kondigde in de laatste persconferentie aan om coronamaatregelen te gaan handhaven met hulp van Curmil en VKC. Opvallend, want Cornelis is van de inspectie en niet van de politie.
