WILLEMSTAD – Eugene Rhuggenaath zal zijn partij PAR niet leiden tijdens de volgende verkiezingen in 2025. Of zoveel eerder, mocht dat aan de orde zijn. Dat zegt de voormalige premier tegen de Èxtra.
Hij wil ruimte geven aan verjonging binnen de partij. Zelf zit Rhuggenaath al 20 jaar in de politiek, waarvan 11 jaar actief als politicus. Hij zegt zich te willen toeleggen als coach binnen de PAR.
Wie Rhuggenaath moet opvolgen is nog niet bepaald. Dat wordt als bekend als er verkiezingen komen.
