WILLEMSTAD – Het ziekenhuis op Curaçao (CMC) luidt de noodklok. Alle zestien IC-bedden zijn bezet met coronapatiënten, terwijl er nu zeventien mensen intensieve zorg nodig hebben. Op de covid-afdeling is het ook vol, daar liggen 37 patiënten.
Elf patiënten op de IC liggen aan de beademing omdat ze zelf niet meer kunnen ademen. Hun situatie is zorgelijk. Van de zeventien IC-patiënten zijn slechts twee gevaccineerd.
De bovenstaande video die het CMC gisteren verspreidde om duidelijk te maken dat de IC-situatie nijpend is, spreekt niet over een oplossing, mochten er vandaag meer patiënten intensive zorg nodig hebben.
