De eilanden Aruba, Bonaire en Curaçao hebben net als bijna alle andere landen ter wereld te maken met het coronavirus. Hoewel vaccinatiecampagnes in volle gang zijn, blijft het virus aanwezig op de eilanden. In dit artikel vind je een actueel overzicht van het aantal positief geteste mensen per eiland. Daarnaast lees je het aantal nieuwe, positief getesten per dag en het aantal positief geteste mensen dat is opgenomen in het ziekenhuis.
Aruba
Het aantal actieve gevallen van Covid-19 op Aruba is iets omhoog gegaan ten opzichte van ruim een week geleden. Aruba telde op 2 juli 27 actieve gevallen, nu zijn het er 33. Het grote verschil met de afgelopen maanden is dat er toen wekelijks tientallen ingezetenen van Aruba positief testten en slechts een handjevol toeristen. Nu is dat eerder andersom.
Op Aruba zijn in de periode van 2 t/m 8 juli 27 mensen positief getest op Covid-19. In ruim veertig procent van de gevallen (elf mensen) ging het om toeristen.
In het ziekenhuis op Aruba liggen vijf mensen die positief getest zijn op de speciale corona afdeling. Onder hen zijn twee toeristen. Daarnaast liggen drie positief getesten op de afdeling Intensieve zorg, waarvan twee toeristen. De positief getesten die in het ziekenhuis liggen zijn geen van allen gevaccineerd.
Aruba heeft nu 33 actieve gevallen van Covid-19. In zestien gevallen gaat het om bezoekers van het eiland.
Bonaire
Op Bonaire wordt, in vergelijking met Aruba en Curaçao, een stuk minder getest. De afgelopen dagen werden er iedere dag één of meerdere positieve gevallen ontdekt. De testratio op Bonaire is derhalve hoog. Het aantal actieve gevallen is wel weer wat afgenomen in de afgelopen dagen. Op 5 juli had Bonaire twaalf actieve gevallen van Covid-19.
Op Bonaire zijn zestien mensen getest, één van hen kreeg een positief resultaat.
In het ziekenhuis op Bonaire liggen geen mensen die positief getest zijn.
Bonaire telt nu acht actieve gevallen van Covid-19.
Curaçao
Op Curaçao neemt het aantal actieve gevallen van Covid-19 de laatste dagen weer toe. Op 5 juli waren er nog negentien actieve gevallen, nu zijn het er 45. Dit weekend testten negentien mensen positief, in dertien gevallen ging het om mensen die op de luchthaven van Curaçao arriveerden.
Gisteren zijn er op Curaçao 1.702 mensen getest. Van hen kregen er tien een positief resultaat.
In het ziekenhuis op Curaçao liggen nog steeds vier mensen die positief getest zijn. Op de intensive care liggen nu geen positief getesten meer.
Het totaal aantal positieve cases op Curaçao is nu 45.
